The Associations are implementing a new policy management system in 2016. Therefore, new registrations for policyholders are not being accepted until the new system has been implemented.

Policyholders that are currently registered under “Manage My Policy”, may continue to use the login feature until further notice.

Billing FAQs

Q1: Can I pay my premium online ?

-	The Association accepts payments via debit or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover only) processed thru our website.

Q2: Can I pay my premium with a pre-paid card ?

Q3: Are there any additional fees when using a debit/credit card to pay premiums ?

Q4: Can my premium be drafted from my bank account automatically ?
- - The Association does not draft payments from Policyholder's bank account.

Q5: Does the Association accept electronic payments ?

The Association is not currently able to accept electronic payments on our website from our Policyholders bank account. This feature is in development and will be available in the near future. However, Policyholders can make payments to the Association using their banks on-line bill pay options. When using this method, please include the correct policy number to ensure proper credit to your account.

Q6: To whom do I make my check payable, and where can I mail my payment ?

-	Checks should be made payable to either the North Carolina Joint Underwriting Association (NCJUA) or the North Carolina Insurance Underwriting Association (NCIUA).

Q7: Although I have paid my policy, I received a notice of cancellation for non-payment ?

-	Provide proof of payment such as confirmation number if paid via debit/credit card, front and back copy of cleared check, or confirmation from bank if paid via online bill pay. Contact Customer Support at 800-662-7048.

Q8: How can I change my mailing address ?
- - Contact your Producer (Insurance Agent) listed on the declaration page or billing notice from the Association.

Q9: How can I add or delete names on my policy ?

Q10: Can I pay my insurance premium in installments ?

Eligibility criteria for payment plan with the Association

a.	Full year policy (i.e. 365 day coverage); and
b.	Not a mortgagee bill policy (not escrowed with Mortgage Company); and
c.	Not financed via finance agreement.
d.	Minimum premium of $250.00

If all above conditions are satisfied, payment options available are:

a.	Full pay; or
b.	2 pay* - Total premium collected in 2 equal installments; or
c.	4 pay* - Total premium collected in 4 equal installments.

* A service fee of $3.00 is charged for every payment received.

Each installment is billed and due in 30 days.

Claims FAQs

Q1: What do I do in the event of a Loss?

-	Refer to the North Carolina Department of Insurance website, Consumer Service Division, for general information on what to do in the event of a loss. DOI website: http://www.ncdoi.gov/

Q2: How do I file a claim?
- - Please contact your local insurance Agent who will report the claim to the Association on your behalf.

Q3: What if the information about my claim changes or I don't have all the information needed to report a claim?

-	You may report a claim to NCJUA even before you know the full extent of damage. We encourage you to report a claim as soon as you become aware of, or suspect, damage. The NCJUA adjuster will discuss your loss and arrange an inspection of your property, if required.

Q4: Who will handle my claim in the event of a named storm?

-	For named storm events, North Carolina General Statute 58-45-35(e) requires Member Companies to handle claims on policies where the Member Company writes the underlying essential property coverage and the NCIUA provides Windstorm and Hail Only coverage. All other policies will be handled directly by NCJUA/NCIUA. Please contact your local Producer (Insurance Agent) to report a claim.
-	Losses unrelated to Named Storms are handled by NCJUA/NCIUA Staff.
-	During a storm event, please refer to the Claim Handling section of our website for additional information.

Q5: What is covered under my policy?

-	The Association writes several different policies. Determining coverage is subject to the terms and conditions of the individual policy. Please review your policy for more coverage information.

-	NCJUA-NCIUA does not recommend specific Agents. Please check your phone book for Agents in your area. You can also search the web by your zip code to find Agents located in your area.

Q3: Did you receive a Cancellation from your carrier?
